AWAY BACK THEN
If we had lived away back then
When Jesus came to free this
world from sin . . .
When He walked along the streets
of cobblestones
They knew Him not, as He
preached God's oracles.
If we had lived away back then
Would you have changed your ways
and followed Him?
Or when the crowds began to
mock,
Would you be found among that
flock?
He preached, He taught - away
back then
Never harming any man.
He made the lame to walk, and
blind eyes to see
And He forgave their sins and
iniquities.
And when they hollered
"Crucify!"
Where would your loyalty lie?
Or when He was hung upon that
tree
Would you among the mourners be?
It's not much different now than
then
For still He lives in the hearts
of men ~
And there'll come a day when we
each must take a stand
If we're ever to go on to the
Promised Land.
The choice is yours~ You can
make it today ....
Will you receive His Love and
forgiveness and go His Way
Or when the crowds around do
mock -
Will you be found among that
flock?
