BELLA
& HOGAN
Napping on the forest floor, I was a brand new baby fawn. Anxiously waiting for my mama, Yet I was still alone come dawn.
Forlorn, I began to wander,
Despite being filled with fear. Hungry, weak, and tired, I sensed the end was near. Then I awoke, snug and warm, Sharing a soft, plush bed. Being tended to by Hogan, Who lavished kisses on my head.
His big brown eyes shone
with love,
This gentle giant of a fella, He gave his heart to a tiny fawn, And even named me Bella.
How I thrived with Hogan’s care, He was my guiding light. When we parted, two hearts broke, But he visits my dreams at night.
At long
last I frolic in the forest,
Just as Mother Nature planned. Hogan spends his days as a loving pet, And the best friend known to man.
Dedicated to
Bella, Hogan,
and Hogan's
humans.
