Lord...you're so worthy of my praise,
Because you did it all for me,
You left your home in heaven,
To hang upon a tree.
Lord...you never had to come to earth,
To be born in a lowly manger,
To grow up poor and needy,
To place yourself in so much danger.
Lord, I can't even fathom,
All that you went through for me,
So that we could be together,
Throughout all eternity.
You never had to do what
you did,
You could have stayed at home,
But you knew that man is helpless,
Man couldn't go it alone.
Man will always covet sin,
His heart is desirous of wrongs,
Man couldn't walk in righteousness,
Until you came along.
I was lost and alone Lord,
Doomed for all eternity,
Then You entered my life Lord,
And started teaching me.
You cleansed me from my sins,
You live in my heart today,
You never leave my side,
You're always there
to guide the way.
You gave me faith and strength of heart,
You placed in my spirit, love,
You gave me a brand new song to sing,
A song from up above.
