HEAVY LADEN
In order for one to feel guilt
one must have committed a wrong- or at the least, somewhere deep inside themselves, believe they did.

You've been laden with a burden
you carry deep within, Been judged harshly, by those you defend. Friend, you stand not alone, nor should you stand away- but instead, stand proud-stand strong.
You've suffered the battle, many
times over-
the darkness lays in wait for it's time- Confliction refuses to allow you rest- and it's continually bled you, unjustly.
Your brow is heavy, beneath the
guilt-
that your judges say you own- but it is they who actually possess such grief- and it is they, who'll stand alone.
I could offer you a hand to hold
to-
a heart that understands your pain- I could offer you all that I am- and still, it would never repay.
I pray each night for your
suffering to end,
the nightmares to fade away- the eyes that stare, to soften unto you- and for peace to come your way.
