I AM YOUR BIBLE
I am your Bible -
so precious and dear
Let me be your guide,
year after year.
I'll teach you, instruct you,
in all that you do
And prepare you a home
way beyond the blue.
I am your Bible -
such stories I hold
Of men who were brave,
of men who were bold.
Of women who trusted,
the Christ of the cross
Though oft times they
suffered a terrible loss.
I am your Bible -
read of the Christ
The Savior, Redeemer,
Pearl of Great Price;
The Author, the Finisher,
the Ancient of Days,
Read me, my loved one,
upon my words gaze.
I am your Bible -
read every word.
For I am your armor,
your helmet and sword.
To help you fight battles,
come what may
A weapon for you
to use day upon day.
I am your Bible -
make me your friend,
My word will protect you
to the very end.
Each page is for reading,
and sharing each day,
For teaching others
the truth and the way.
I am your Bible -
my words are truth.
Through ages and ages
men sought my worth.
So do as those
wise men of yesterday
And seek out my promises
day unto day.
I am your Bible -
I'll keep you alway
Lean on me, trust me -
you'll not go astray.
Keep my commandments,
and do my will
Don't covet, don't lie,
don't steal, cheat or kill.
I am your Bible -
I hold the key
To the One whose death
set your soul free;
Who took on his body
your sin and your shame,
Saved you, washed you,
gave you a new name.
I am your Bible -
careless, don't be.
Read me each day,
the Word sets you free
Free from all sorrow,
all sadness and woe,
Free from Satan,
your adversary and foe.
I am your Bible -
eternal life I give.
Trust in Christ, love Him,
and you shall live
A life so fulfilling!
A life so divine!
A life full of happiness,
Oh, child of mine!
