I'M GOING HOME
I,
will be going home soon,
to a
beautiful place I know.
I will
leave everyone here,
leaving both, friend and foe.
Don’t
grieve for me, for I’ll be free,
I’m
following the path, Jesus laid for me.
I’ll
hold his hand, when I hear him call,
I’ll
turn my back, and leave it all.
I will
not stay another day,
to
laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks
left undone, must stay that way,
I’ll
enjoy that peace, at close of day.
If my
departing, shall leave a void,
then
fill it with, remembered joy.
A
friendship shared, a smile, a kiss,
ah,
these are the things, I’ll really miss.
Be not
burdened, if you should feel sorrow,
I wish
for you, the sunshine, of tomorrow.
My
life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good
friends, good times, loved ones touched.
Perhaps my time, seems all to brief,
don’t
lengthen it, with undue grief.
Lift
up your heart, rejoice with me,
JESUS,
is coming for me, he’ll set me free !
