Yup!..the little ''Oven'' with the light bulb in it that she baked little cakes in it,..''Mmmmm''..sure were good too!..

Saturday,..Why if you or the neighbor had a T.V....Back then,..only a few

''Well to do'' had them,..why it was ''Horror Film Saturday,..usually at ''Billy's''...it was his turn!...

Some Saturdays,..the ''Block Mom'' would pile everyone in the ''Station Wagon''...Which was a ''Family Tradition'' as

Every Family had one I think,..and go to the Park,..Beach,..or the ''Movie Matinee''..If You were ''Lucky'' Whose-ever

Dad got paid Friday,..it was to the $1.00 a ''Car-load''-Drive-Inn theater!....Sleeping bags 'optional!'

''Remember''...Keys were left in cars with windows left open over-night..No Problem...Houses left ''Un-Locked''

The Milkman left milk on the porch...''Loved'' to lick the cardboard ''plug'' got the cream off of it!....The Helms Bakery

truck would whistle and stop,..only to open the drawer-full of fresh donuts,..bread,..rolls... ''Day-Old'' were 1/2 price,..if

the driver was called ''Sir'',..after awhile,.He'd slip you a ''Two-day'' old donut for Free!..

In the ''Big City''...The 'Ice Man' would deliver blocks of ice,..the 'Produce' man had fresh 'Veggies' on his cart,

why they even had a 'Knife' guy who'd yell...''Hava' dull knife, make it Sharp'a as Your Wife!''

''Memorial Day''...Seems back then,.We as a Nation had more Values,..Remembering,..The Soldiers were called..

''The Grateful Generation'' the Country living through ''Two War Front's'' having realistically Defending several Countries

on 'Both' sides of the World!
