TENDER WAS THE HAND

Uncertain tears; Oh cry for them;
Hold up their memories; To reveal-
Thirteen cried from far far below-
Only to feed their families a meal-

Black was the dust; Black was the day-
many a long cold weary night-
Don't step on the roses that lay at their feet-
Now Twelve touch the hem of white

Uncertain tears; Oh cry for them;
A final peace to call their own-
From far far below your faces they saw-
As the Angels guided Twelve of them home

Tender was the hand that reached for them-
Sweet and Gracious is the Kingdom of God-
Warm is their light eternal-
where in Heaven they'll forever trod

Uncertain tears; Oh heal the pain;
For sorrow is theirs no more-
No labors; No trials; No burdens they share-
for they rest on Glory Land's shores

Yes tender was the hand that reached for them;
through the tears of uncertainty they passed-
God's Angels guided all Twelve of them home-
Where now they have peace at last
