THE FAITH TO CARRY ON

Picture Jesus ~ carrying the cross,
With all His strength at such a loss.
Weak and frail from being whipped,
Yet for this burden, He is equipped.

He looks so frail and Oh so small,
Yet still for us He would bear it all.
He knew once His death was in the past,
That far away, all  pain would be cast.

Then, up from the grave He did arise,
He was no longer dead, He was alive.
It was our salvation, He came to die for,
Taking our punishment and much more.

For although His body was torn down,
And every drop of His strength was gone.
His faith in God had carried Him through,
The work God had planned for Him to do.

Do you have faith in the resurrected life,
Of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Knowing His grace will carry you through,
In the work ahead God's planned for you?
