There once was a little sparrow,
Caught in a thunderstorm.
There seemed no hope for him to live,
No place for him to get warm.

Just at the end when there was no more strength
The Savior looked down with care.
"My little sparrow", He gently said,
"Keep going, you're almost there!"

The sparrow heard his master's words,
And kept flying straight ahead;
Until all at once he saw a light,
And he knew he was going to live.

Are you caught in the thunderstorms of life,
No hope for yourself you can see?
If He cared for that little sparrow,
Then how much more for you and me?

Is the thunder so loud and the storm clouds so black,
That no light in the darkness you see?
Is you're faith running out, do you feel yourself fall,
As the strength you once had starts to leave?

Just ask for His love and His tender care,
And His guidance in all of your life;
Soon you will hear Him gently say,
"My little child, it will all be alright."

"Come, follow me together we'll fly,
Through all of the storms of your life;
Just remember when you feel that you can't go on,
I'm always right here by your side."

Just like that little sparrow so lost,
You will begin to see a light;
And soon you will know that whatever was wrong,
Was always right there in His sight.

Just remember when you feel battered and bruised,
By all of those storms of your life;
The sun will soon come shining through,
And the darkest hour is just before the light.
