.Dare To Dream
James 5:11
Indeed we count them blessed
who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of
Job and seen the end intended by the Lord; that the
Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
“A
woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who
had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could
not be healed by any,”(Luke
8:43) got out of
her bed, and pushed her way through the crowd
until she was within reach of Jesus. The
moment she touched Him, she was healed. My
friend, it was her faith that healed her,
nonetheless, it was her vision that
brought her to Jesus.
Remember how Caleb had gone
to Moses, at the age of eighty-five, and said,
“Give
me this mountain.”(Josh
14:12) He had
focused on his dream for forty long years, and
wouldn't let go. God’s Word says,
"Joshua
blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of
Jephunneh as an inheritance. Hebron therefore
became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh
the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly
followed the LORD God of Israel.”(Josh
14:13,14)
Did you notice the word
“wholly?”
Do you know what qualifies you to be one of
the poorest individuals in the world? Answer:
The lack of a vision!
My friend, once you've envisioned what God
has planned for you, you'll never be
satisfied to remain the same.
Do you want something badly
enough to go out and fight for it? Do
you want it enough to work day and night for
it, to give up your time and sleep
for it? Is all that you dream about, and
scheme for is about it; Does life seem
useless and worthless without it?
Will you gladly sweat
for it, plan for it and fret for it?
Are you willing simply to go after the thing
you want with all your might? I have dropped
in today to remind you that faith and hope
are part of God's provision.
My friend, if neither
sickness, famine, poverty, cold
nor pain of body or mind can keep you from
the thing you want; if you besiege it with
dogged determination you, then you will be
blessed because you
"persevered!"
Now, the questions is,
“How badly do you
want it?”
Do you want it enough to
“hold
fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope
firm to the end?”(Heb
3:6)
“Beware,”
my friend,
“lest
there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in
departing from the living God!”(Heb
3:12)
Dare to dream!
